Today, we visit our friend Justin Jones’s music video set and uncover his secrets to music video lighting.
Justin invites us onto a music video set, where we quickly realize the grand scope of the production. There were lots of Skypanels, an Alexa Mini, a 19-foot jib, a full dance crew, LED bicycles, and lots of Astera Pixel tubes. All of this for one day of shooting. We thought it was crazy, but Justin breaks down his lighting setups and shows us that music video lighting could be quick and visually stunning as well.
